Battery quality
Everything you need to know about iPhone batteries. Lifone
At Lifone, battery quality is a core part of our quality control process. Every iPhone is tested to ensure reliable battery life, stable performance, and a smooth user experience. Here's how we manage our iPhone batteries, what OEM means, and a clear comparison between an original Apple battery and a new OEM battery.
Original Apple batteries between 85% and 100%
All iPhones sold on Lifone are equipped with original Apple batteries whose capacity is systematically between 85% and 100% .
This guarantees:
-
comfortable autonomy,
-
stable performance,
-
optimized energy management,
-
operation in accordance with Apple standards.
What happens if an iPhone battery level drops below 85%?
If our tests reveal a capacity of less than 85% , a transparent procedure is applied.
✔ You will be contacted BEFORE shipment
No iPhone will be shipped without your approval.
✔ Option 1: FREE battery replacement
The battery is replaced in our Dr. iPhone workshop with a new OEM battery equipped with a TI (Texas Instruments) chip .
This replacement, usually costing €75 in stores , is offered free of charge .
✔ Option 2: You keep the current battery
If you prefer to keep the original battery, shipping may be slightly delayed depending on stock availability.
In all cases, your agreement is essential before sending.
What does "OEM" mean?
The term OEM ( Original Equipment Manufacturer ) refers to a battery:
-
new
-
manufactured according to the technical standards expected by Apple,
-
Fully compatible with iOS
-
equipped with the TI chip , a global benchmark for energy management.
This is the best available solution when an original battery needs to be replaced.
iOS message regarding OEM batteries: normal and without consequence
Since iOS 15 , Apple displays a message when the installed battery is not recognized as an official Apple battery .
➡️ This message is completely normal with an OEM battery.
➡️ It has no impact on the performance, battery life or security of the phone.
The phone's operation remains perfectly identical to that of an Apple battery.
✔ The battery status percentage remains available
Even with an OEM battery, you can still check:
-
the percentage of maximum capacity,
-
information about health status,
-
optimized performance.
No features are disabled.
